Current Openings in Middle and High School - Apply Today!

We are excited to announce that we have several openings in some of our middle school and high school classes! As families begin the back to school preparations we have seen movement on our waitlist and new families have the opportunity to apply for the spaces still available. BRPS Sailing Team Information (Grades 7-12)

Summer is winding down and we are ready for the 2019 Fall Sailing Season.  Last Fall, the Black River Sailing Team was ranked 12th out of 64 Teams in the Midwest and had two Michigan State Champions.  From returning racers to those who are newer to sailing, our high school team is the place to be this Fall! Middle School & High School New Student Orientation

Are you a student that is new to BRPS or new to the MS/HS main building? Come on over to campus on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 9:00am-10:00am to meet your CAP teacher, tour the school, find your classrooms and locker. Parents are invited to attend a Q&A session in the Lyceum building during this time. Please be on-time as students will break up in to CAP rooms to tour as a group. Students meet in the main building lobby and parents can go straight to the Large Ensemble Room in the Lyceum building.

Summer Main Office Hours

Happy Summer! Our administrative staff will be on hand to serve your family over the summer break. The elementary and MS/HS main office will be open Monday-Thursday from 9:00am until 1:00pm.

Freshman Rat Camp is Coming!

Save the Date: All Orchestra Concert on October 9, 2019

Please join all of the Black River Orchestras for our first concert of the 2019-2020 school year. The theme is "alternative styles", which includes a unique variety of music such as fiddle, rock, and jazz. All orchestra concerts are free of charge.

Black River Student Paper Cranes Added to Hiroshima Peace Park, Japan

Black River students in Mrs. Marguerite Stephens' History class made hundreds of paper cranes that were strung together and sent to Hiroshima to be added to the other cranes in the Hiroshima Peace Park, Japan. The cranes arrived safely and are now hanging at the Children’s Peace Monument in a lasting effort to promote a peaceful world without nuclear weapons.

High School English Summer Reading Info - 2019/20 School Year

It's never too early to think about the assigned summer reading for your high school student! The English Department has released the High School English Summer Reading Packet for the 2019-2020 school year. This packet explains all the summer reading requirements and where you can find the books on the reading list.
