My name is Jim Levering and I am very excited to enter into my third year as the Elementary Administrator of Black River Montessori Elementary.  
I was born and raised in Ada, Michigan.  After high school, I went to Central Michigan University...Go CHIPS!  I was hired at Black River in 2005 and completed an eight-week Montessori training program.  I taught in an Upper Elementary classroom for ten years and loved every minute of it.  During this time, I went back to school and received a Master's in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University...Go Broncos (yes, I know...I'm conflicted). 
 

I have been married to my beautiful wife, Ann-Marie, for twelve years.  We have two boys, Jake (9 on Oct. 10), and Owen (6 on Oct. 20).  Plus, we just added a new family member to the clan last March.  He is an English Cream Golden Retriever named Bailey, born on January 17, 2017.  He is extremely cute...and naughty.  My family has been living in Caledonia in since June 2012.

When I'm not at school, I love to read!  My favorite author is Michael Crichton.  When I'm not reading, you can find me outside playing soccer with my boys.  I have been their AYSO soccer coach for 5 years now.

I look forward to year three in our new building and being able to see all of the awesome students again!  It gets pretty lonely here during the summer months.
