Hello and welcome to our classroom website! 

This year will be my 6th year teaching 4th and 5th grade at Black River.  However I have been at Black River for 7 years.  

I was born and raised in New Jersey.  I first moved out to Michigan to attend Hope College.  During my time at Hope College, I studied elementary and special education.  I also played varsity softball all four years as a pitcher for Hope.  After spending four years at Hope, I decided that I wanted to stay here and find a teaching job.  Following graduation I moved to the Grand Rapids area.  My husband, Ryan, and I have been married for 5 years.  This past February, we welcomed our sweet baby girl Mikayla into our lives!  We have loved every minute with her!    

When I am not busy teaching, I enjoy the following:

• spending time with Mikayla
• playing with my niece Emerie and nephew Logan
• photography
• crafts
• bike riding/ exercising
• reading
