My name is Kayla Larsen, and I am so excited to be starting my first year as part of the Black River crew as a Special Education Paraprofessional. I grew up in Wisconsin and come from a large family of Packer loving cheeseheads. I graduated from Hope College in 2013 with degrees in both Spanish and Psychology. I also had the opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain during the spring of 2012, which was by far one of the richest experiences of my life to date.

Beyond my role at BRPS, I am also a swim coach with the West Ottawa Swim Club and the JV Softball Coach at Holland Christian High School. I feel privileged to be able to build relationships with so many students around this community. The "fun stuff" in my life includes playing sports, traveling, learning new languages and spending time with friends and family. I am looking forward to an exciting and eventful year here at BR!
