A Message from Shannon Brunink - 4/19/2018

Dear Black River Families,

In light of recent events and talk of student demonstrations I want to state that I am proud of our students who get involved in their communities to have a voice for issues that are important to them.  There are many causes that students may feel are worthwhile to support and I encourage them to learn more about how they can be an influence for positive change in our world.

Black River also has a responsibility to its students and their families to provide educational opportunities in a safe classroom environment where learning can take place with minimal interruptions.  For this reason, the Black River Student Handbook defines the expectations that are in place to support this.

If you would like more details, please take a moment to look at page 14 of the Middle School or High School Handbook to understand the Out of Bounds parameters in the Behaviors and Expectations section.

Student safety and learning is very important to all of us.  Thank you for your support and understanding.

Mr. Brunink
