It might be summer, but here at Black River we're getting ready for the students to arrive. The first day of school for all students is Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Check out the 2017-18 Back-to-School Information Packet.

Ripples Newsletter

In an effort to provide our Black River families with more timely information we have decided to replace the Ripples, our monthly school newletter, with this ongoing News section of the website. Current school information, news and events can be found here. We will no longer have a link to the Ripples provided on the website or emailed to your inbox. If you need a copy of the final Ripples newletter which was published in June, please email the main office at heneghank@brpsk12.org.

Sixth Grade Field Trip

The sixth graders at Black River are headed to Camp Pendalouan on Wednesday, August 30th from 8-3pm. Please have your 6th grade field trip permission form turned in on the first day of school. Contact Trisha Byrnes, Chair of the MSPO at msblackriverpo@brpsk12.org with questions. 

Senior Class Field Trip

Save the Date! The Senior Class is going to CHICAGO!

Date: Wednesday, August 30, 2017
Time: 7:15am - 9:30pm
Place: Chicago Museums

Watch your mailbox for more information and the trip permission form or access information via this link. Please return the permission slip and payment by the first day of school. This field trip is sponsored by the High School Parent Organization in collaboration with Black River.

High School Students: Request a Locker Here!

Lockers are automatically assigned to Middle School students. Locker details will be printed on schedules mailed in August.

High School students in grades 9-12 who wish to have a locker can fill out the Locker Request Form.  After submission, please watch for an e-mail with your locker number and location. If you have requested a locker before scehdules are mailed you can find your locker details on your schedule. Please contact Mrs. Heneghan at heneghank@brpsk12.org in the Main Office if you have any questions.

Yearbook Pick-up Information and Update

Yearbooks not picked up in July will be available for pick-up starting August 23, 2017. Please contact Katie Chester at chesterk@brpsk12.org with questions.

MS/HS Student Athlete Reminder

Middle School and High School student athletes cannot participate in team tryouts or practice without a MHSAA Sports Physical on file with the school. The physical must have taken place on or after April 15, 2017. The physical form is available in the main office or by clicking here.

What: A pairing of veteran families and students with those new to the middle school.
