EduGuide

EduGuide is a research based social/emotional online learning platform that Black River will be
using this school year. EduGuide has been proven to reduce stress and speed trauma recovery,
improve positive behaviors, strengthen relationships and increase test scores/grades.Throughout 20 lessons over the course of the school year, students will learn new skills and then be tasked with using that skill in a real life setting. At the same time, school staff members will respond to student’s online activities with coaching comments that help everyone grow together. It’s a simple model that builds habits of success. This will help to build a sense of community and keep students/staff connected in a remote or in person setting.

Middle and high school students will be completing their EduGuide lessons as a part of their
CAP class. Upper elementary students will be completing the lessons on the online platform
with their classroom teachers. Although the lower elementary students will not use the online
platform, they will be introduced to the social/emotional topics through lessons given by their
teachers.
