This is my sixth year teaching at Black River Public School in fourth and fifth grade. I absolutely love teaching in a Montessori elementary school; BR fits my personal philosophy and teaching style perfectly. Your children mean so much to me; I strive to create a welcoming classroom atmosphere where everyone is included and ready to learn. I am not afraid to challenge them, but have enough experience to know when to draw the line to avoid discouragement. I will also do my best to make your job as parents easier through updating the website weekly by including relevant announcements / assignments.

In my personal life, I was born and raised in Holland. My parents adopted my three older siblings, but I was a surprise, making me the youngest by a few years. I have never lived outside of Holland, but I still travel often. A year ago, I traveled to England and this year I spent time in Venice and Rome where my fiance proposed to me! We are looking forward to planning a wedding in our free time and anticipate sharing the event with family and friends. For fun, I like to read, go out for coffee with friends, play Pokemon Go, cook, see movies, explore Pinterest, take walks with my mom, play with my cats, and work out.
