Hello, my name is Brooke Herr and I will be joining the elementary staff as a 4/5 teacher! I graduated from GVSU with a Bachelor’s in Education in 2013. After college, I had the opportunity to spend three years working and living overseas in Japan. Moving back to the States, I taught in Pittsburgh for three years, and spent last year teaching at Forest Hills. 

I live in Grand Rapids with my partner Jesse, our dog, and new kitten. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy doing yoga, reading, traveling, trivia, and spending time outside with family and friends. I am looking forward to meeting my students and joining the Black River community!
