Hi, my name is Adam Naylor-Tatterson. I have been a 1st-3rd grade Montessori teacher at Black River since 2015. I am a GVSU alumni and am currently back at GVSU working on my Masters of Educational Leadership.
I love that as a 1st-3rd grade teacher I get to see children both learn to read and write, as well as become lovers of reading and writing. My favorite thing is seeing a reluctant reader realize that reading is pretty awesome and that it is something they can do. If you walked into my classroom you may find students spread out all around the room, working on all kinds of curricular areas and projects, or you may find us all singing a silly song or playing a game together.
I live in Holland with my wife, Ms. Rachael, and my two small children Samuel and Amelia. We enjoy playing at parks, fishing, going on nature walks, singing, reading, and laughing together. Outside of teaching and my family, my other passions are playing music, basketball, reading and having meaningful conversations with my friends and colleagues.
