My name is Krista Ekdahl and I teach PE & Health at Black River.  At Black River I also coach both middle school boys and girls basketball, co-chair our Project UNIFY program and coordinate our prom committee. I first came to the Holland area to attend Hope College where I studied PE and Health education, while at Hope I also played 4 years of varsity softball as a catcher, was president of the PE club and met my husband Matt. I also participate at Zeeland West as the varsity softball assistant coach.  When I am not teaching I enjoy coaching and watching a variety of sports, hunting, being around family and friends, traveling and taking our dog LeeRoy everywhere!
