I earned my bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education from Oregon State University and then taught in Oregon for nine years, before becoming a mom of three. My family moved to Michigan in 2006 and joined the Black River family with a 1st, 3rd and 6th grader. I've been substitute teaching at Black River since 2007 and love getting to work with all of the students, K-12! It's fun to watch them grow from the elementary grades through high school. My daughters are both BR graduates (Elisa, 2013 & Megan, 2016) and my son, Evan, graduated from Holland High in 2018. In my 'off' time, I enjoy participating in Zumba classes, going for walks, reading a good book, and spending time with family and friends.
