Safety Concerns Regarding Drop-off and Pick-up

Dear BR Community,

A concern has come to us regarding pickup and drop-off on Columbia Avenue. 

Please, to make sure that our kids are safe coming to, and going home from school, do not drop students off while in the traffic lanes on Columbia. 

When dropping off or picking up from the street, make sure to be in the parking spots that have been created this summer or at the very least, always be parked next to the curb before letting kids in or out.  

Dropping kids off from the traffic lanes means that they then need to weave between the cars that are parked and it creates a very dangerous situation - especially in the morning darkness.

It would be terrible to have an accident take place that could have been prevented with a little patience.  Receiving a tardy is not the end of the world, but an accident would be devastating.
