Hi Black River Families! My name is Rachael Naylor-Tatterson and I teach the lower elementary grades. I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Language Arts. I love teaching in a Montessori school because I love how students are empowered to make choices for their learning and are able to learn at their own pace. I enjoy getting to know the students and parents over the three years that we spend together.

I was born and raised in Holland, Michigan. A familiar face you may know is my wonderful husband Adam who also teaches in the Lower Elementary. We have two young children, Samuel and Amelia. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing music and singing, and being outside (especially the beach). I love being part of the BR community!
