My name is Angela Aumaugher, but many students call me Mrs. A. I grew up in West Michigan, and attended Hope College for two years before transferring to Grand Valley State University to finish a bachelor of science degree in Psychology. As I was finishing my degree I began teaching ballroom dancing for Arthur Murray dance studios in Grand Rapids and ended up continuing that full time for two years after college. I followed that up with a year planning events and weddings for the Alpenrose Restaurant here in Holland.

All of this led me back to school for a second bachelors in Chemistry and my secondary teaching certification from Grand Valley. I have also since completed my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I began teaching in 2007 at Harper Creek High School in Battle Creek and then came to Black River in 2009. I am currently the Head of the Science Department for the 6-12 building.

I live in Zeeland and have a son, Reece, who also attends Black River. As a family we love to go camping and hiking. I also enjoy playing video games and reading when time allows.
