We have exciting news to share with you regarding the free school meals served in the district to our students. The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced all schools will be able to serve free breakfast and lunch to ALL children through June 30, 2021.
This unprecedented move will help ensure no matter what the situation is on the ground, children will have access to nutritious food as the country recovers from the Covid-19 pandemic.
It remains critical our children continue to receive safe, healthy, and nutritious food. This will also ensure meals are reaching all children, whether they are learning in the classroom or virtually, so they are fed and ready to learn, even in new and ever changing environments.
If your child is participating in virtual learning, Black River Food Service offers Curbside Meal pick up every Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm in the Lyceum Parking Lot. Pull up and pick up 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches for each student doing virtual learning. If this time does not work for you, please contact Food Service at 616-355-0055 x176 to schedule a time that works for you. This service will also be available until June 2021.

This year, for in-person students, we are asking that elementary students who would like a school breakfast or lunch pre-order their choices through Infinite Campus. Middle and high school students do not need to pre-order breakfast but will need to pre-order their lunches.
If you have a remote student who would like a school breakfast and lunch please choose the Remote Meals option to pre-order. Pre-ordering is done through the individual student's account or your parent account if ordering for multiple children.
Orders must be placed by the end of the day on Wednesday for the following week.
To place an order, log into the Infinite Campus Parent/Student portal. On the left hand side you will see ‘School Store’. Click on the "Shop" under the BR image. Select the day of the week you are ordering for and then you will be brought to a drop down menu to select a meal/drink option and if ordering for more than one student, select the appropriate student. You can do this multiple times if you have multiple children. Once the meal choices have been made and added to the cart click on the ‘My Cart’ icon and if the order is correct, click on the ‘Submit’ button.
