VOLUNTEER & VISITOR POLICY

KEEPING OUR SCHOOL SAFE
 

Dear Black River Families,

Due to COVID-19 and the updated safety protocols enacted by the State of MI Safe School Roadmap we will not be allowing campus visitors for non-essential visits like reading buddies, lunchtime visits, classroom spelling helpers, and more. We are sad that we will not have the many smiling faces that help our teachers in the classroom and welcome students on specials days. We hope you understand that student safety is our top priority so we must follow these guidelines and continue to monitor this ever-changing situation so we can open our campus safely to everyone. Please contact the main office at 616-355-0055 if you have questions. Essential visitors will be required to fill out the School Volunteer and Campus Visitor Profile Form below. Thank you! 

We require a School Volunteer and Campus Visitor Profile Form from every school day guest and volunteer.

School policy requires that all volunteers and day visitors who have contact with students are required to return a "volunteer" form and have a background check completed.

This form must be completed at the beginning of every school year. Please inform any family members of this policy, if they have not completed a form they will not be allowed on campus. This form can be found online or will be available in the main office if you need a printed copy.

*Field Trip Volunteers
*Visiting a student for lunch
*Any adult who will have contact with students during the school day
