Black River Theatre Company
The Black River Theatre Company (BRTC) is an ongoing, extracurricular, opportunity that strives to create a lifelong appreciation for the theatre. The BRTC provides an opportunity for students and teachers, working together, to showcase talent on stage and behind the scenes. Production of both musical and dramatic shows occur throughout the year. Inspiration is provided by Black River teachers through direction and mentorship. Students learn firsthand the art of performing in front of audiences. Lighting, set design and construction, sound, makeup and costume also provide opportunities for students to learn the craft of belonging to a theatre company. Many BRTC students continue their involvement with the theatre after graduation taking their skills to college and beyond.
