Students will be registered automatically.

Juniors will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday, October 16.  Students need to arrive at First Reformed Church no later than 7:30am.  

Students need to bring the following:

• Picture ID (just in case staff are unable to personally identify them)
• Pencils/erasers (some will be provided but are not guaranteed)
• Calculator (some will be provided but are not guaranteed)
• Snack/Water for breaks - optional, encouraged for students using extended time

Students should not bring their cell phones (or other electronic devices).  Students will need to surrender their phone if they do and it will remain off until testing is over. Students are asked to leave their phones in their car, as this makes the check-in process more efficient.

The test will end at approximately 12:00pm and students will be given 30 minutes to eat lunch and return to school.  Students are encouraged to bring a sack lunch, however, they will still be able to get hot lunch when they return to school. Students who signed up to take the bus must ride the bus back to school.

Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 24 from 1:00pm-8:00pm and Friday, October 25 from 8:00am-3:30pm.

Conference time slots are offered on a first come, first served basis, so early sign up is recommended for parents. Online sign up will end on Monday, October 21 at midnight.  Parents needing an appointment after sign up has ended will be asked to contact teachers directly.

The BRPS band schedule includes four concerts during the academic school year.

They are:

Fall Concert - themed concert focusing on world music
Bands included are Symphonic, MS, Jazz and Beginning bands

Holapollooza Concert - celebration of seasonal favorites
Bands included are Symphonic, MS, Jazz and Beginning bands

Winter Concert - traditional concert band literature
Bands included are Symphonic, MS, Jazz and Beginning bands

Spring Fine Arts Night - themed concert focusing on Pop Music
Bands included are Symphonic, MS, Jazz and Beginning bands

All band concerts start at 7pm and are held in the Black River Gymnasium.

Students perform in concert attire and are asked to be in the Large Ensemble Room at 6:30pm for warm up.

Black River works with Geskus Photography Inc. for all of our school picture needs. Students that missed School Picture Day on September 5, 2019 should plan to have their picture taken. If you took your picture on September 5, 2019 and were not happy with the photo you must return your picture proof packet when you have your retake done.
