At BRPS the focus is not just on academics, but on your whole child. We know that in order to learn, students need to know how to understand and handle their emotions, have good social skills, get in movement and have meaningful relationships. During a typical day at BRPS you might see an elementary student doing the sensory path in the hallway, watch students learning about how to manage stress, watch a middle school science class take a walking break around the school, see a classroom doing a mindful minute, observe a student take a “calm-down” break, or see a classroom doing their lesson while sitting outside. We understand that the mental/emotional health of students is vital to their overall well-being and success in school. These things remain especially true as we begin our school year in a remote setting.
