My name is Mrs. Christy Schreiber and I have been here at Black River for over a decade.  I have been a 4th and 5th-grade teacher my entire career and am excited to continue on this path.

I graduated from Hope College in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Science.  I also have a master's degree from Marygrove College in the Art of Elementary Education.  I continue to try to better myself as a teacher through learning about technology, reading, how to better help our students with different needs, and writing.

My favorite things to do outside of school are spending time with my family, reading, sewing, and cooking.  My husband, Matt, and sons, Charlie and Jake, fill my life with happiness and laughter, which I believe makes me a better teacher every day.

Our classroom is filled with team building activities and conversations.   Students are learning academics, but also learning how to be 'good' people.  My goal for my students is to be well-rounded members of our community who help others every moment they can.  I look forward to this year!
