Hola! Me llamo Señora Sarah (Gaffney) and I teach Spanish II and the 4th/5th grade Spanish classes at Black River. Originally from the east side of Michigan, I moved to Holland in 2013 to be a part of the BR family.  I graduated from Central Michigan University with an education degree in K-12 Spanish,  6-12 English as a Second Language, and a special endorsement in Middle-Level Education. I also have a  Masters in Special Education: Learning Disabilities from Grand Valley State University.  Before coming to Holland, I taught English for over two years in Madrid, Spain (my second home) and one year in South Korea. In my free time, I love to travel, hike, read, garden, craft, and spend time with family and friends.  I am very passionate about languages, cultures, and teaching and excited to share my experiences with you!
