Hello! I am a MS Math Teacher at Black River. After graduating from DePauw University many long years ago with a degree in Communications, I spend 6 years working in television production. Needing a change of pace, I went back to my first passion - gymnastics. I was a gymnastics coach and instructor for the next 17 years in both Indiana and Michigan. 

In 2016, I was hired at Black River as a paraprofessional. In that role, I had the opportunity to attend START training, an intensive, 2-year program to learn how best to support students with ASD. For the 2021-22 school year, I taught MS Math Resource as a long term sub and loved it. I decided to pursue a teaching certificate through Davenport University and 2022-23 became a MS Math Teacher. 

I live in Holland with my husband and have two sons, my oldest graduated from BR in 2022 and my youngest is a MS student. As a family we enjoy camping, riding in the dunes, skiing, kayaking, and watching movies. I also like to run and have completed 3 marathons.
