Graduation Requirements
4 years of English
3 years of Math
3 years of Science
3 years of History (including Government)
2 years of a Foreign Language, 3rd year Proficiency in Spanish
2 years Performing Arts (Theatre, Choir, Band, Visual Art, Dance)
1 year Physical Education
1 semester of Keyboarding or Demonstrate 30 WPM accurate typing speed plus basic Word-processing Skills
Total of 24 credits (1 year = 1 credit for Academic Classes)
Completion of a Senior Project
60 Hours Community Service
3 terms of Project Term
Application to and acceptance by a four-year college or university
Attention Parents of Juniors and Seniors
Section 9528 of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act requires the release of student contact
information for juniors and seniors to military recruiters. Schools are also required to inform
parents and students of their right to request that their information not be released to the
military. If you would like your student information withheld from the list provided to military
recruiters, please make a written request by either mailing a letter to Ginger Smith in the BRPS
office or emailing her at smithg@blackriver.spfs.k12.mi.us.
