BRPS PARENT ORGANIZATION
Attention all Parents!
The Black River Parent Organization needs your help! We’ve got
a few spots we need to fill to help make sure the school and the
kids all have a great year. If you’ve always thought you
should get involved, now is your chance!
The positions we have open are:
‐VP of Fundraising – overseeing the various fundraising chairs and
deciding what fundraisers we should do.
‐ Academic Leader – Working with the teachers to find out what they
need that the Parent Organization could help with, and coordinating the
Honors Night and National Honor Society receptions.
‐ Community rewards – Coordinating the various community
rewards programs: Target, Meijer, Family Fare for example.
‐Box Tops – Collecting, sending in (5th graders help trim and bundle).
‐ Book Fair – running the Spring and Fall Book Fair (past chair
people are available to help )
And last but not least:
‐Black River CelebRation chair – if you loved the CelebRation,
now’s your chance to make sure it happens again. Last year’s chair
people can’t do it this year. We’d love to have someone who could
either do the full auction or we could scale it back and just
have a nice social event.
Please step forward if you can help us with anything!
MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS ALL YEAR LONG
We can continue to place magazine subscription orders even after our fall fundraiser is over. The link to place orders on line and to see what is available is here . Our School Code is 425051970. Be sure to log in and register your kids names when you place your orders.

The magazine sale was a great success and we surpassed last year's sales!
The overall winner for the most sold was Ms. Christy Thompson's class. They won a Pizza party and also a magazine for their class.
The second place winner is Ms. Alaina Kramer's class and they received a magazine for their class. Congratulations for these outstanding efforts made to help support our school!

The Black River Parent Organization is open to all parents and caregivers of Black River Public School students. It exists to improve the quality of campus life for Black River students and faculty. The Parent Organization also provides a support group and informational forum for parents and supporters of BRPS.
This is a great way stay informed about what's happening at school, meet new people, and see how you can contribute to its success.
