BLACK RIVER SCHOOL'S ADVANCED PLACEMENT PROGRAM RANKS AMONG THE  NATION’S BEST Washington Post Ranking Places Black River at #104 nationally, #2 in Michigan.

Congratulations to our students, faculty and the entire Black River community for being included in the list of Top High Schools in the  nation.  Based on a report and ranking devised by Jay Mathews and The Washington Post, Black River Public School’s (BRPS) Advanced Placement (AP) program ranks #104 of the top 1069 programs nationally and #2 of  23 Michigan public schools making the list. The AP program offers high school students college-level courses and the opportunity to earn college credit based on performance on standardized proficiency tests.The list ranks the level of participation in the program at each school and is based on the number of AP exams given divided by thesize of the graduating class.
