MONTHLY CLASS NEWSLETTERS - Keeping you informed.

We want to be proactive and more frequent in communicating about events in your child's classrooms.

Beginning fall, 2009, a monthly newsletter will be available on Infinite Campus describing what will be happening in each class during the coming month.   These monthly newsletters will replace the narrative paragraphs you used to see on grade reports.

Teachers will include a short summary of the previous month and then write about upcoming assignments and concepts, and provide a calendar with major due dates, events, concerts, etc.

Rather than reporting at the end of the grading period on what was already done, our goal is to use the new and frequent newsletters to report ahead on what's coming up for your student.  The newsletters will make our grade reports much more timely and efficient - and paperless!

Formal grade reports will still include the personal comments about each student, but will become shorter overall in format because coursework descriptions will be included in the monthly newsletters.

Questions:

How do I see these newsletters?  To access these newsletters you must have an Infinite Campus login.  A very short form is required at the office to establish your username/password.  You can print the form HERE and turn it in at school, or stop by in person anytime.

Where do I find them?  After you have your login information, go to the school home page and click the Infinite Campus logo.  When prompted, log in.   Your parent portal will open and you'll see the names of your students down the left side of the screen.  Under your child's name, click "Schedule".  You'll see a list of classes come up.  The top line shows the class name, the 2nd line shows the teacher name, and the third line shows a page icon and a date.  Click on the date to open the newsletter for that class.
