ADVANCED PLACEMENT PROGRAM

2007-2008:  Scores of 3, 4 or 5 were 64% (80% for students in Class of 2008).  119 examinations were given in 14 subjects (Art History, Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, English Literature, European History, US Government and Politics, Comparative Government and Politics, Physics B, Physics C Mechanics, Spanish Language, Studio Art (Drawing), US History).  66 students participated in testing. 

2006-2007:  Scores of 3, 4 or 5 were 73% (77% for students in Class of 2007).  132 examinations were given in 12 subjects (Biology, Calculus AB, Chemistry, English Language and Composition, Environmental Science, US Government and Politics, Comparative Government and Politics, Physics C, Spanish Language, Statistics, Studio Art (Drawing), and US History).  59 students participated in testing.  34% of students in Class of 2007 earned a "mastery" score (3 or higher) on at least one examination.

2005-2006:
 Scores of 3, 4, or 5 were 59% (56% for students in Class of 2006).  93 examinations were given in 10 subjects (Biology, Calculus AB, Chemistry, English Literature and Composition, European History, Physics B, Psychology, Spanish Literature, Statistics, and US History).  49 students participated in testing.  37% of students in Class of 2006 earned a "mastery" score (3 or higher) on at least one examination; 15% for nation.

2004-2005:
Scores of 3, 4, or 5 were 61% (73% for students in Class of 2005). 122 examinations were given in 13 subjects (Biology, Calculus AB, Chemistry, English Language and Composition, Comparative Government and Politics, U.S. Government and Politics, Physics C E&M, Physics C Mech., Psychology, Spanish Language, Statistics, Studio Art 2D Design, U.S. History). 50 students participated in testing. 44% of students in Class of 2005 earned a “mastery” score (3 or higher) on at least one examination.

2003-2004
: Scores of 3, 4, or 5 were 67% (78% for students in Class of 2004). Examinations were given in Biology, Calculus AB, Chemistry, English Literature and Composition, European History, German Language, Physics B, Physics C Mech., Physics C E&M, Psychology, Statistics, Studio Art 2D Design, Studio Art 3D Design, US History. Three students recognized as “AP Rising Stars.” Nine students recognized as AP Scholars, including one National AP Scholar.

2002-2003: Scores of 3, 4, or 5 were 60% (70% for students in Class of 2003). Examinations were given in Biology, Calculus AB, English Language and Composition, Comparative Government and Politics, U.S. Government and Politics, Physics C, Spanish Language, Statistics, and U.S. History. One student recognized as “AP Rising Star.”

2001-2002: Scores of 3, 4, or 5 were 80% (81% for students in Class of 2002). Examinations were given in Biology, Calculus AB, Chemistry, English Literature and Composition, European History, Physics B, Psychology, and U.S. History.

2000-2001: Scores of 3, 4, or 5 were 74% (64% for students in Class of 2001). Examinations were given in Chemistry, English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, Statistics, and U.S. History.

Black River Public School made Annual Yearly Progress (AYP); district received "A" from state.

PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP 2000-2001: Annaka Sikkink was named as a Presidential Scholarship nominee, one of 2,600 in the nation.

MUSICAL ARTS
