Project Term

Black River was the first school in West Michigan to institute a Project Term.  All students in grades 1-12 participate in Project Term.

Project Term is a month of experiential education at the middle and high school level, and a two week period in the elementary grades.  Through field trips and hands-on activities, students gain educational experiences that are difficult to provide in a more traditional setting.  It is an opportunity for teachers to share their areas of expertise with students.  Students also have the opportunity to develop interests and talents that will last beyond the duration of the term.
