Fine Arts Boosters

Be informed! Be involved!

The Fine Arts Boosters (FAB) support the teachers and educational goals of the Black River Fine Arts Department including Art, Band, Choir, and Orchestra. FAB sponsors two all-school activities that feature the work of our Fine Arts students and provide opportunities to raise funds: RatFest, which will be held in February, and the Spring Fine Arts Festival, at the end of April.

FAB has helped provide music stands, choir risers, concert uniforms, instruments and a kiln…to name a few.

This year’s team includes:

FAB Chairperson, Terree Brncick
Tracy Frederick and Todd Rhoades, Treasurer
Diane Lynch, Art Parent Representative
Julie Benson, Band Parent Representative
Beth Tyler-Weatherwax, Choir Parent Representative
Lana Frody, Orchestra Parent Representative
Vicki Corneaneu, Concert Uniform Coordinator
Tammy Clark, Teacher Liaison

Dear Parents,

The school year is well underway and we still have a couple of open positions for the Fine Arts Boosters team.  We would really like to fill up our group so we can help the department as much as possible this year.  Please take a moment to read through the position descriptions below and see if you would be interested in joining our team.  Our meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month at 5pm, usually in the Large Ensemble Room of the Lyceum.  We make every effort to keep them to about half an hour in length.

Here are the two open positions:

1. Treasurer:  this individual is a voting member of the Fine Arts Booster (FAB) group and attends monthly meetings to discuss ideas, help with event planning and vote on expenditures. The treasurer is responsible for keeping an accurate account of all financial transactions of the FAB and giving a treasurer's report at each meeting.

2. Orchestra Parent Representative - this individual is also a voting member of the FAB group and attends monthly meetings as noted above.  This role varies depending on the needs of the orchestra director and in the past has included activities such as planning a reception after an orchestra concert in the Lyceum.

Please consider volunteering your time to help make this year a successful one for our students.  If interested, please contact me at

Thank you!
